The revenue projection for Texas' new business tax has been lowered again - this time by a total of $1.5 billion, the state's revenue estimator told lawmakers.
State income from the newly revised business tax was expected to reach almost $6 billion for the current fiscal year. But the number will likely be closer to $4.5 billion, said John Heleman, the state's chief revenue estimator.

MUMBAI: India's first currency futures
trading platform will go live on August 29. On Wednesday, the National Stock
Exchange (NSE) conducted the first mock trading on its foreign currency
derivatives segment with more than 300 members participating, a release from the
